OFFER FOR PLASTICS, PAINTS AND VARNISHES INDUSTRIES

Group of plasticizers for plastics, especially PVC and raw materials for such production, OXO alcohols and organic anhydrides. The plasticizers group contains: Oxoplast®O and Oxoplast® IB. They are obtained from OXO alcohols produced by the company: 2-ethylhexyl alcohol, butanols and phthalic anhydride. OXO alcohols are sold to many domestic and foreign customers as semi-finished products for production of plasticizers, solvents, paints and varnishes. Maleic anhydride is also produced. The offer includes also butyraldehydes.

OFFER FOR AGRICULTURE

ZAK S.A. has always specialised in nitrogen-based fertilizers. The most important group is Salmag®- universal nitrogen-based fertilizers under a renowned brand both at home and abroad (in kind of CAN and AN with additional nutriens). Apart from nitrogen, the products also contain such important nutrients as: calcium, magnesium, sulphur and boron. We plan to extend the fertilizers offer by adding new substances and microelements. We also produce: Kędzierzyńska Saletra Amonowa® [ZAK’s brand of AN] and urea. The main raw materials for the production of fertilizers are made of natural gas, air and water, combined into ammonia and nitric acid.

The company also produces sodium nitrite and sodium nitrate, ammonia, nitric acid and other raw materials for chemical industry.

n-BUTANOL
It makes a feedstock for chemical syntheses, predominantly for the production of plasticizers, amino resins as well as paints and lacquers where it makes a solvent.

n-BUTYRALDEHYDE
It is used principally for the production of 2-ethylhexanol, n-butanol as well as trimethylolpropane (TMP), polyvinylbutanal, polyols, ketones, butyric acid and other chemical compounds – which find their outlets in the plastics, paint and pharmaceutical industries.

2-ETHYLHEXANOL
It finds its principal outlets in the production of plasticizers (like for example dioctyl phthalate, dioctyl maleate, adipates, sebacates, fumarates, trimellitic acid esters, benzoates), acrylates and acetates. It is also used as a solvent in the paint industry, and it is applicable in the manufacture of additives for oils and fuels as well.

ISOBUTANOL
It is used in organic syntheses, principally in the production of plasticizers, amino resins as well as paints and lacquers (solvent).

ISOBUTYRALDEHYDE
It is used principally for the production of isobutanol, neopentyl glycol as well as acetates, isobutyric acid, vitamin B, esters (butyrates), metacrylic acid, ketones, etc. – which find their outlets in the plastics, paint and pharmaceutical industries.

MALEIC ANHYDRIDE
Maleic anhydride is used in the production of unsaturated polyesters and varnish resins, in the synthesis of butanediol and tetrahydrofuran. Also, it is employed in the manufacture of pesticides, detergents, dyestuffs, etc.

OCTANOL F
It makes a flotation agent applicable in mining.

OXOPLAST®IB (DIISOBUTYL PHTHALATE)
DIBP is employed as a supporting plasticizer for PVC to improve gelation of that plastic. It is also used as a light-resistant plasticizer in lacquers and in the production of pigment pastes.

OXOPLAST® O (DIOCTYL PHTHALATE)
Basic plasticizer for plastics; it is also used in the production of paints and lacquers.
